A (not so) speedy update...

Hello everyone :)

Just thought I'd do a quick update. :)

I've got a gig tonight so most of my day has been spent preparing for that. It's at the Anchor Inn this time - 9pm start. :)

Also...I did my driving test today.

I PASSED!!!!!! WOOOOOO!!!! :D

First time too! YEAH!!! I thought that I'd failed when we arrived back at the test centre, but he said..."I'm pleased to tell you that you've passed. Congratulations." And I said "Really?! Wow! Thank you!"

I got five minors. You're allowed to have 15 minor faults - 16 and you fail. One was for moving off safely...I think one time I moved off I was still partly looking over my shoulder. One was for observations at a junction...I didn't see a car until the last minute (but it was still safe)...and the other three minors were for going too slowly. OOPS! Lol.

Anyway, I'd better go and practise for tonight's gig.

TTFN!

Lots of love,

Hollyxxxxxxx

Congratulations! Are you planning to get a car before you go to University?

Have a great time at the gig!

Celebrations and at a pub tonight. Go easy on the Cider, sometimes it goes straight to the ankles and causes falling over syndrome. Lol.

@ Tim ~ doubt it because it is only for a few months. If I insured her to drive my car (which is 'too big' and powerful really for a new driver) it would mean paying 'funny money'!! Also no room on the drive for another car ~ lol. Mine is on it's way out so may look out for a nice little 2nd hand Golf or something like that eventually for us to share when she's home. Her driving instructor said she would go out with her when she is getting used to driving a different car ~ which is really sweet of her ~ lovely lady!(and not that I would be nervous or anything silly like that :-S)

Congrats on passing your test! Well done at the gig last night despite the noise etc., you handled it all very well and kept everyone on your side as it were! Thanks for the CD's and the lovely messages as well. ;-)

Haha! Thank you for your congratulations. :D

Well the examiner must have thought I was safe Me! ;) Don't worry. I'll be careful.

Thanks for coming yesterday Kev! It was good to see you. It was a lot busier last night than when I was in there before. I guess it's due to the lighter/warmer evenings. Wonder what it'll be like in August?! Lol.

Hi, my name is Abbie, and I really love your voice! It is beautiful! I especially love your version of Where Ever You Will Go. I have a favor to ask. You see, for about two years now, I've really wanted to make this anime music video about Rin and Sesshomaru from the anime Inuyasha. I wanted to use the song Where Ever You Will Go, but I needed the song to be sung by a female vocalist, because I want the video from the little girl Rin's point of view. However, I could not find a female version ANYWHERE! Sigh. So when I heard your version on youtube, I was really happy, because you sang it so beautifully and you are a female! Whoop! :)
I'm asking your permission to use your version of the song in my music video, which I have already made, and won't post of course without your consent. I will of course give you credit, and have a link back to the original source. I'd be so grateful if you agreed! Please get back to me soon! Thank you.

Haha! :D
You have to be careful now, Holly. There are evil people on the road, trying to steal your licence, if you want to drive properly! :D

TV is coming to take us away, hahaa!
Congrats for the licence, Holly! Now you have to learn to drive on the right side. For instance in Germany.

Hi everyone, believe it or not I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN THE CD LAUNCH CONCERT ! I've been out of touch for a while with no access to a working computer.Xeno I saw that you very kindly posted your video and gave a website address but I can't get it to come up--- can you advise ? Many thanks.

Trevor ~ I think Xeno has been having probs with his computer etc so not sure if he is on-line or not at the mo! Sorry I can't help with that link.

Hi Trevor. The Photos page on Holly's website has an embedded video of The Lady and The Past from that launch concert - if you double click on the video it will take you to Xeno's YouTube site.
(Xeno recorded an excellent quality video of the whole concert, but only the one song is on his YT site at the moment.)
In addition I have some video clips from that concert on my YT site, www.youtube.com/timbic61.

Thanks Me-- I am entirely understanding of computer problems :)

Trevor ~ I've only loaded one song on to YT at the moment. I have however done a DVD of the launch which I have sent to Larry and Wolfie (WG's yet to arrive). The DVD is 1hr 53min (the entire concert.) but at 4.3Gb is too big to up load.
If you want to e-mail me (xenonrush@gmail.com) a postal address I will put one into the post for you.
Had to put new hard drives in the laptop and a desktop but everything is back up and running now.

Xeno, that is extraordinarily kind of you. Many, many thanks.Glad to hear you've resolved your computer problems :)

Although you are by now a seasoned driver and have probably had enough incidences to realise that there are annoying mad people, who have somehow been allowed to get behind a steering wheel, driving loose in the streets, I'll say a belated CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Apart from when you will be inventing new swear words for the nutters, you will so enjoy the freedom that passing your test gives you. Well done and all the best - Oh, and do you think you can give me a lift please?
