WOOO!

HELLO!!!

I can't be long because I'm currently sat in the studio. 'I Live Through the Song' is currently being recorded with drums! We have a session drummer and he's incredible. I'm sitting here feeling very pleased/ecstatic. :)

Will do an update later on. :)

Got to go! xxxxxx

Wooo indeed. Thrilling. Just watched the video of 'I Live Through the Song' again. Oooo. You look so vulnerable in it. Really want to hear the new arrangement with drums. Where's the studio? Did you have to go to Southampton or are you doing it in a studio on the IoW?

Oops! I had a typo this morning. The post should have read, 'I am just so happy about everything and want youto have a lot of fun along the way!'

xeno, she has to ride a ferry to get to the studio. Hope that helps, lol.

If it's a ferry ride then I guess it's Southampton. I hope the water in The Solent isn't too rough. Might make the voice a bit wavery in the studio.

She is putting in some very long days. I sure hope our Holly does not get too tired. I hope she has a really good time , and I do know that it takes a lot of work and time. Not easy but it will be over in 2 more days. Hang in there, Holly!

soooooo exciting - you know Spoggy has his OWN cd player. A little white one and he sits on the handle and God help anyone who tries to adjust the volume or touch it while his favourite CD's are on. I just know though, that his Aunty Hollys CD will become his NEW ULTIMATE FAV - cannot wait to hear it. I remember I even was excited when I recorded my silly little CD and that is so tiny a thing compared to your CD - with all the instruments and lovely vocals. Please pace yourself Holly, try and get good rest too!!! xxxx Spoggy and Susan

Thankyou for all of your lovely comments! I am sure H will Blog over the weekend. She said yesterday that it is really tiring work but absolutely AMAZING!! at the same time. I have seen a little of the odd bits of footage taken in the studio and I can see why! ~ they are going over and over some bits to get it as perfect as they can. The two men H is working with (Southampton area) are really great at what they do and Holly is really pleased she chose them. You can see on her blog how excited she was about the drummer yesterday too :) I think today will be spent putting everything together and then she will hopefully have a listen to it over the week-end and make sure it is exactly as she wants it. On Monday she goes back over to sort out any changes and finalise everything ~ if all goes to plan today! Fingers crossed!
She is thoroughly enjoying the whole process and environment so I think she will be sad when the album is finished :(
There will be lots more to do after this ~ artwork ~ copying etc ~ so I don't think there is any chance it will be out for a while yet! I can't wait though!!
She is so lucky to be able to have this wonderful experience ~ thankyou all!!!

Thank you so much for the update! I was so concerned about Holly being swamped by the long hours and work. What wonderful news to hear that she is OK and having a good time. That is what life is all about (imho). There is no need to be in a hurry. Good things are worth waiting for and life is so much better when it is relatively stress free. Besides, there will more CDs as time marches on. Thanks again!!!

Please excuse my ignorance but I would like to ask, are the 'two men' you refer to above the 'producers'?

Haha! I guess you would call them that Larry ~ silly me ~ lol! I guess Holly is one too ~ as they are all working together :)
One owns the studio, the other works for him :)
Gareth (the owner) is also a voice coach/singing teacher, so that is an added bonus!
I think Olly's favourite is the Little Uke Song ~ lol! ~ "so raw"!!!

LOL! UK. I read about 'record producers' all the time while messing with our 'Artists' thread and I really have been wondering just what they do. One song I posted by (?) was produced by Bob Dylan! Like, what is going on here, lol.

'Olly'? Must be the 'one who works for the owner? Or maybe that is a typo and should be 'Holly', lol.

No! ~ you were right first time ~ lovely lad who studied music etc.
Great fun ~ lovely atmosphere there ~ despite the hard work ~ long hours!

Well, I see Holly has finished the recording part now. That was really some work week, was it not, Holly? lol It is great to see that you made it through OK. Soon, you can rest a bit, lol. Job well done!
